Will They Ever Build Real Muscle Cars Again?
If you are someone in your forties or fifties, and you have fond reminiscences of your first car, more than likely you owned an All-American muscle car. These vehicles have are responsible for people searching all over the United States for old muscle cars that need restoration. Take a look at paintball masks. The real explanation is that none of the Big Three are making these awesome machines anymore. The big issue is when is somebody likely to make a real muscle car again?
Chevy and Ford continue to introduce new versions of their iconic Camaro and Mustang every few years. The problem is that every year these manufacturers get away from what a real muscle car is and they keep filling them with more and more computer equipment. Will we ever have the opportunity to experience a car that has a 327 together with a 4 barrel carburetor again? The sad reality is we will probably never see those types of cars again.
The real problem is that people want to constantly upgrade things just for the sake of it. One example is the timeless 1967 Camaro, which is considered the all time great muscle car. Pay a visit to paintball store. In spite of its level of popularity, Chevy decided to stop making this particular version. Which also goes for the 1966 Mustang, an amazing car with a great style and they just quit making it.
However here comes the humorous thing. The legendary VW Bug ended key production in the late seventies, but was released a few decades later. While the new Beetle sold fairly well, it had become nowhere near as profitable as the classic VW Beetle. It's tough to be successful if you constantly believe that doing things a new way is always better.
Probably the most significant point is certainly this. In the event that Chevy came out with a new Camaro with a 327 engine and 4 barrel carburetor, and if they left out all the computer equipment and built the car like they used to, how many of you would want one? I've asked hundreds of people throughout the years and the response was just the same: they would definitely get one. Just why hasn't it materialized? If there is a demand for a thing that is back-to-basics, won't the car companies listen?
What will it take for GM or Ford to make a decision to make all those classic muscle cars again? I can nearly guarantee that people are going to be lining up to get these new American classics. Yet until these companies start listening to their customers, you'll have people looking for old muscle cars to restore.
Perhaps eventually a muscle car buff will be the CEO of Ford or GM and decide to start making muscle cars again. Have a look at a lot more details here paintball markers. As of today, the current leaders simply think adding new technology will make a better muscle car. It's my opinion we should just go back to the way that things were.
Is a 1965 Volkswagen Bug as Valuable as a 66 or 67 Bug?
My Dad just found a 1965 VK Bug for sale? But is the value of the 1965
differ from a 66 or 67 bug?
I'd really appreciate the feedback.
Thank you Paul for the feedback.
Your question cannot really be answered easily. Firstly, the older the better. Secondly the better the condition, the better the value.
A 65 in the same condition as a 66 would be worth more, however, if the 66 was in better nick, then it would be the more valuable.
The other area that influences price is how original is the vehicle. The more original, the higher the premium on demand.
Regardless of the comments, Beetles can be driven hard and will last. However, there is a difference in driving a car hard and abusing it (eg. it will not last if you take it up to max revs in each gear - that is just downright abuse).
