Rodney Atkins will 'Take a Back Road' to Los Angeles next week to honor some
Good Samaritans. NBC confirms exclusively with The Boot that the country star
will perform his new hit on the network's first annual American Giving Awards,
set to air Dec. 10 at 8:00 PM ET.
Hosted by famed sportscaster Bob Costas, the AGAs will give five charities the
opportunity to share in $2 million grants given by Chase Bank. How much they
will each receive is up to you! To vote, you can either log in to your Chase
online account or become a fan of Chase Community Giving on Facebook. Voting
runs today (Dec. 1) through Dec. 8. The winning charity, to be revealed on the
show, will receive a $1 million grant from Chase, while the runner-up gets
$500,000. The third-place winner receives a $250,000 grant, and the remaining
two charities will be given $125,000 each.
