Uses Of The 3 Shaman Builds
The only hybrid that perfectly fits the description 'jack of all trades, master of none', the Shaman has three talent trees that define its abilities and skills. These are Elemental, a good Shaman build for players who prefer ranged combats over melees; Enhancement, a preferred build by players who are more comfortable with melee combats; and, Restoration, which is a build recommended for players who want to have lesser downtime. As with all other classes, each Shaman build composes of various talents that can increasingly help the player develop into a more powerful, better-skilled character.
Here is a walkthrough on the abovementioned Shaman builds:
{Elemental} - This tree comprises of abilities, mainly spell-casting abilities, that possess decent ranges and damage outputs. Under this tree, the cost of using mana, which is basically the source of power for Shamans, becomes more 'expensive' as the character levels up while the critical strike chance as well as the damage output increases. There are several good uses for Elemental Shamans depending on play style.
Elemental build is, overall, recommended for players who veer towards PvP as it gives the players better and higher damage output. Raid-type games, meanwhile, may find Elemental Shamans valuable only as a general utility class. 5-man teams, on the other hand, may find Elemental Shamans very useful as these have excellent abilities for buffing and bringing back comrades from the grave.
{Enhancement} - For players who are looking for great damage output, the Enhancement tree is the best build to follow. Enhancement Shamans are very handy during melees since they can deal high damage output. But, they can also work excellently on their own, as they tend to have abilities that can easily wipe out small groups of mobs, and in raids, thanks to their remarkable DPS.
In addition, Enhancement Shamans contribute substantially in raids because they have impressive buffing abilities that work against melee damage dealers like themselves. There are, however, some problems when using Enhancement Shamans for PvP gameplay. Enhancement Shamans have difficulty surviving by themselves as they don’t wear heavy plated armors, they also tend to have higher susceptibility towards Snare effect.
Nevertheless, the Enhancement tree has characteristics that offset this main weakness, making an Enhancement Shaman very effective in other play styles. Its healing capabilities, while not its main talents, also make it a very attractive choice of character.
{Restoration} - The third Shaman build is the Restoration, the build that mainly focuses on training a Shaman into a Healer. This build allows the player to enable the use of powerful spells while lowering the character's dependence on mana. Restoration Shamans are great utility players and considered excellent raid-wide healers. There is one disadvantage to using Restoration Shaman though, it is not as effective in solo leveling and PvP as its counterparts as it has low damage output. This, however, is offset by its capability to restore itself, making it less susceptible to death.
Is getting a plate sore?
I'm getting my plate fitted tomorrow and some of my friends are saying that it's sore getting it in and when it's in. Is this true? Thanks 
yes, it is like trying in a new pair of shoes.....it can get sore after a day or two....it is hard to tell at the time of the insertion. Therefore, you have to go in for adjustments.
