BTOSports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki’s JT$ Battens down the Hatches in the Bay City
2/4/2010
San Francisco, CA- Under a clear and chilly
night in San Francisco, BTOSports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki’s Jason Thomas
took his Suzuki RMZ450 to a 13th in the main event at round four of the AMA
Supercross series. JT, the reigning German Supercross champion, is a veteran of
the supercross wars and used all his guile and
tenacity to make sure he continued his strong start to the season.
With his result Thomas moved a couple of spots up and into 14th in the 450
class points. “Das Champ” as we like to call him would certainly be
a little higher than that had he not missed the opening round when he was busy
clinching his German title in Dortmund.
The switch to the Suzuki’s has obviously agreed with the diminutive rider
who, although short in stature, is high on skill and hard work. “I had a
good race, I need to get better starts once in the main events but for sure
I’m happy with my race. Thanks to all the team sponsors for everything
they do for us” said Thomas after the main event.
The teams other rider this night, Bobby Kiniry,
missed his first main of the year when he suffered crashes and bad starts. BK
put in a valiant charge in the 250 LCQ but came up as the first guy to not make
the main. He did get the gas card on the evening for his efforts.
The teams other rider, Ben Evans, is currently hurt but we look for him to make
it back this weekend in San Diego.

DNA Energy Drink/BTO Sports.com/BBMX's JT$ Impresses at Redbud |

Buchanan, MI - On a beautiful day that saw America celebrate its
independence, the DNA Energy Drink/BTO Sports.com/BBMX team celebrated its
independence from a factory engine as Jason “JT$” pulled off a
couple of great starts on his WMI-tuned CRF450. It was round six of the Lucas
Oil AMA Motocross Championships and it was taking place at the historic Redbud
Track N Trail. The whole team was excited to be there celebrating America and
all it stands for, even our wetback Canadian mechanic!
Thomas was up front in both motos
and ride hard all race to eventually end up with 12-15 scores which was good
for 13th overall. It was JT’s best race of the outdoors and we’re
happy for the little guy. He’s going to be rewarded by being allowed to
stay out until 10 o’clock now, which is big boy time!
Our other rider Kyle “long legged mack daddy” Keylon was
on fire this weekend coming off his finish at Lakewood and it showed
in his practice times & his moto
speed. Kyle was blazing a trail towards the top 10 in moto one, when he suffered a front wheel blow out off
the infamous Larocco's Leap. In the second moto, Kyle was up to 12th spot at the 20 min. mark,
when he had some health issues that sidelined him for the remainder of the
day. “I’m happy to celebrate America and I’m happy that
JT rode his balls off to represent us and our sponsors well” said team
manager Forrest Butler “and not necessary in that order.”

DNA Energy Drink - BTOSports rider Jason Thomas grabs top 10 |

DNA Energy Drink, BTOSports, Rick Case Honda team rider Jason
Thomas finally shook off his early season gremlins with a top 10 finish at
round 6 of the AMA SX Series in San Diego, CA. After riding a strong heat
race earlier in the night, JT$ put the hammer down in the main event and came
out as the highest placing privateer rider in the premier class. Jason
fought off new factory Kawasaki recruit Travis Preston for the majority of the
main event and finally pulled away with about 4 laps remaining to finish in
10th position.
"I have just been having some bad luck on the west coast this season, but
it was nice to pull off a good finish before heading back east this year for
sure. I am really looking forward to racing in Houston this up coming
weekend. My bike is working good and I really like the dirt there",
said Jason. Thomas's DNA Energy Drink, BTOSports, Rick Case Honda team
will hit round 7 of the AMA SX Series this weekend in Houston, TX. Please
feel free to log onto the teams web site at www.ButlerBrothersMx.com
to check out the weekend blog and follow the team riders through the race
day.
