2000 rpm clutch springs and 4.5g rollers on a stock chinese scooter, will it be faster?
Ok so i have a chinese scooter (JMstar scooter 50cc JSD50QT-27) and my weights are 6.5g in at the moment and when i twist the throttle it goes without hesitation, would it give me faster acceleration and take off if i put 4.5g rollers and 2000rpm clutch springs in, PS i am sick and tired of all the cars up my arse when i pull away from traffic lights so just want to get away, i am also NOT going to de-restict my scooter. I also have an 80cc bore kit which i got for free for my make and model and just wondering if i can put it on my scooter without de-restricting it? I know its a long question but Thanks.
Your scooter is restricted by the following"
Variator washer between the two pulley halves
Heavy rollers
weak clutch springs
By you changing the rollers to lighter ones and changing the clutch spring, you are already "de-restricting" it. Well partial.
If you don't remove the variator washer and you install different rollers and clutch springs, you wont feel any difference. The washer is still going to restrict your pulley from reaching full potential/ratios.
To answer your questions.....
No, you wont increase your acceleration by using 4.5g and 2k clutch springs.
The entire reason for changing those items is so you can match your acceleration RPM with the power band rating of your exhaust.
Rollers are used to keep your CVT transmission in the RPM range of your pipe. Clutch springs are to allow your clutch to engauge just before your RPM range. If it engages too soon, you won't develope the power it's designed for.
Granted... you can't do any of this without de-restricting it.
If you want better acceleration, change rollers to 4.7g. Change clutch spring to engauge at 5000 rpm. Change contra spring to white colored one. Remove variator washer from front pulley halves.
With regards to the 80cc kit. No, you can't install it without de-restricing your scooter.
You also can't just install a bbk kit and keep everything else stock. They don't mix well. If you installed the 80 cc kit you would also have to install the following.
MUCH better exhaust
larger carb at least 24mm or larger
larger jets in the carb
Better Variator
Better drive belt
Better clutch
Better clutch bell
Stronger springs
