Raise Your Hdl Levels

Not all cholesterol is bad. Cholesterol can be broadly classified into HDL [High Density Lipoprotein], LDL [Low Density Lipoprotein] and triglycerides. While a larger quantity of LDL and triglycerides in the blood stream is bad, raised HDL levels could fundamentally be good for you.

HDL or the good cholesterol scours the walls of the veins. It carries the excess cholesterol to the liver back for processing. Make note that it is this cholesterol that eventually turns into plaque and causes cornoary attacks. Considering that HDL is good for your body, it would only make sense if you take steps to extend HDL levels. Here is how you can go about the same.

Exercise is a good way to maintain the requisite levels of HDL in your body. Aerobics are one good way to try this. If you don't have the time for aerobics or if you are unable to try aerobics sessions for any reason, you may consider cycling or a plain walk. The best chance is to have a 30 minute long exercise session, though the more you can, the better it is going to be. It is the period of exercise which matters, not the power.

If you are overweight or obese then losing pounds can also help you raise your HDL levels. Losing pounds not just adds to your HDL but it also lowers your LDL. You want to exercise dietary control as well as indulge in some form of physical activity to shift kilos in a healthy manner.

Another thing that you can do to step up your HDL is give up smoking. Smoking is not just bad for your general health except for your cholesterol levels as well. lose fat before school,help!?

im 5,1 and 136 and im 13 years old school is coming up and i really want to lose the fat before school starts in august. i am starting to not eat junk food or drink soda. i do eat a lot of 100 cal snacks and drink lots of crystal light and water. i need some exercises to lose my belly. please be detailed on exercisess. all i need is a work out for my belly and some for my thighs. i really don't care bout my weight but i am super worried cause my belly sticks out. i have a treadmill/climber, bike, Turbo Jam cardio videos. i will take any exercisee as long as i can do it in the morning and it not so long.
