Japan Lead The Way With Most Advanced Car Technology Yet

Japanese technology is undoubtedly some of the finest in the world and many countries try to imitate their developments as they are so revolutionary. This is no more apparent than in their car technology, which is often adopted all over the world and is considered second to non by many experts. Now they are set to take the whole car industry by storm as one of their technology companies has been busy developing a new system that allows cars to actaully learn, and they are looking to sell it to all the big car manufacturers.

Microchips have been used in automobiles for a long time now, controlling such things as airbags, ABS and traction control among lots of other things.Cars have also advanced beyond the days when they could only tell you very simple things such as engine temperature and oil level. They could now report on tire pressures, chassis forces, multicore cables and even road surface conditions.  The company in Japan known as Copal Electronics have taken the micro chip to the next level however and using new electrical components developed a car that can not only look after itself but can learn. If the car is driven around a corner in the wet at 30mph for example, and the rear wheels slide out, the car will note the road surface condition, speed, tire pressures, corning angle, weight of the car and many other factors and then make very subtle changes to things such as the fan accessories engagement so that the same does not happen again.

Experts have said that as the technology develops and the cars have been learning for a good few years, they will eventually be able to preempt and avoid all sorts of driving problems and accidents.  It is thought that the technology will be trialed in a few specialized cars first, but if the deals go through with the major manufactures, we could be seeing in the family salon before too long.

Does a little tire last longer then big tire?

This depends not on the size but the rubber it is made of. For example, a winter tire has much softer rubber than a summer tire so if you run it when it is too warm out it will wear very quickly.

Trek Superfly Pro and Soho Deluxe – Just in (Bike Radar)

We tested the 2011 Trek Superfly Elite early this year and found a lot to
like, including impressively low weight, a stout backbone, superb handling and
good ride characteristics. The 2012 Superfly Pro expands on what was good,
fixes a few niggles and moves even further upscale for what we expect to be a
cross-country rocketship.

The frame is mostly carried over – which in this case is a good thing – but
Trek have added their OCLV Mountain and Carbon Armor technologies for improved
impact resistance. The puffed-up tube diameters and tapered front end should
yield the same sharp handling and pedal responsiveness as before. Nearly 100
percent carbon construction keeps the weight to a not-too-low 1,340g for our
medium tester.

Both the headset and bottom bracket bearing seats are molded right into the
carbon structure – saving weight and also minimizing complexity – and while
the dropouts are carbon, too, bolt-on aluminum plates are used for better
long-term durability and easy replacement if needed.

This year's Superfly Elite switches from the SRAM X0 of our 2011 test bike to
a Shimano Deore XT package but our new Pro model goes all-in with a SRAM ...
