The Schwinn Jogging Stroller - What Is All Of The Fuss Regarding?
Jogging strollers? If you have a baby or are expecting one in the near future you will surely already know what these amazing things are. If you've not yet heard of a jogging stroller, read on and be amazed.
Wow, how things have changed in the world of baby and toddler equipment.
You don't need to go back very many years to a time when the only choice available when you wanted to take your baby out and about with you was a big old-fashioned pram. These were great if you never needed to take them in the car with you or fit into an elevator or struggle up flights of stairs to an apartment but if you did, they could be a nightmare.
A need arose for something far more compact that could also be collapsed down in order to bring it indoors or fit it into the trunk of a car. Voila! The baby stroller was born and millions were snapped up by grateful parents worldwide.
These early baby strollers did have their limitations though. They were very basic, often heavy with their steel frames and not especially comfortable as their rigid frames rattled along. Their small wheels often meant that the strollers were difficult to push, especially on a less than perfect surface. The actual swivel front wheels additionally resulted in the infant baby strollers might have the symptoms of their very own idea about exactly where they wanted to go as well as it may be a continuing battle maintaining them on track in the event that there was the least incline about the sidewalk.
There was a clear need for further improvement. The design team at Schwinn identified a host of areas for development and after intensive testing and development the Schwinn Jogging Stroller was born.
Why use the term 'jogging'? Because these strollers run so smoothly and freely that hordes of fitness conscious parents nowadays like to combine taking baby out with keeping fit or getting back into shape after the birth. This is something that was near impossible with the old style small wheeled baby buggies.
Schwinn jogging strollers come in single or double versions and all feature lightweight, rust resistant aluminum frames for ease of portability. They have rear suspension and large 12" and 16" wheels with pneumatic tires to provide a softer ride for baby and to assist in crossing bumpy terrain. The sumptuously upholstered cockpit is fitted with a five point harness system to keep Junior secure and cozy. Your baby's delicate skin burns easily and needs to be protected from the elements so Schwinn provide a large sun canopy with their jogging strollers.
Babies come with so much stuff nowadays don't they! That's why Schwinn have built in a large under seat storage basket with plenty of room for all the toys, diaper bags and shopping bags you could wish to carry. In addition, there are convenient easy-to-reach pockets behind the seat for snacks, drink bottles, cell-phone, keys etc.
The single swiveling front wheel allows you to turn the stroller through 360 degrees on the spot making it a dream to maneuver in tight spaces and effortless to steer when walking or running.
When the time comes to pack your jogging stroller away in the car or the closet, the job can be done one-handed so you don't even need to put your baby down.
Raceworks Ford Raptor Luxury Prerunner (Autoblog)
Filed under: Aftermarket, Motorsports, Truck, Ford, Specialty, Racing
As a bone-stock machine, the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor is an impressive piece of
engineering, but that doesn't mean that the platform can't be improved upon.
The crew from Stewart's Race Works has turned its fabricating skills toward
creating a luxury prerunner version of he go-anywhere pickup, and the result
is nothing short of astounding. With a massive 90-inch track width and
suitably epic amounts of wheel travel, this Raptor is filled with custom, one-
off parts. The front suspension boasts 26-inches of travel while the rear
flexes out at around 31 inches thanks in part to billet aluminum A-arms up
front and a set of Fox Racing 4.0 external bypass shocks and three-inch coil
springs.
A 600-horsepower Patton racing engine resides under the custom hood and is
bolted to a built 4L80 automatic transmission. Though two-wheel drive, the
truck features a four-link suspension in the rear for the most travel
possible.
Inside, the cabin is fitted with GPS, and MP3/iPod capable audio system, six-
way power adjustable seats and more electronic goodies. We want one.
